Description

My first big break in comics came right around the turn of the century/millennium, working on the DC Comics series Batman: Gotham Adventures, which was based on the animated TV show The New Batman Adventures. It was a dream come true for me, it jumpstarted my comics career, and I got to work with some amazing people, including the wonderfully talented Scott Peterson, who took over writing B:GA at the same time I began drawing it.

Not sure what I like best about this series of late night shots around Arkham Asylum. I love the rats in the ventilation system, and Ivy and Harley falling asleep while watching an infomercial is awesome, but my favourite has to be the closet where all the inmates' costumes are stored. Why would Arkham even keep these things? Are they going to be returned to the prisoners once they're released back into society? Why would any of these maniacs ever be set free anyway? "Congratulations on your rehabilitation, now go and become a productive member of society. Oh, and don't forget to take your supervillain outfit. Be good!" It's ridiculous! :D

Batman: Gotham Adventures #45 was written by Scott Peterson, pencilled by me, inked by Terry Beatty, lettered by Albert T. de Guzman, coloured by Lee Loughridge, and published by DC Comics. If you'd like to read more, you can find the rest of the comic on Comixology.
